Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PDPL).
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of data processing activities to identify privacy risks.
- Advise management and staff on data protection best practices.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to personal data breaches, including reporting to regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintain records of data processing activities and ensure legal compliance.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on data protection for employees.
- Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure security measures are in place to protect personal data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations and privacy laws.
- Experience in compliance, risk management, or information security.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in data protection or privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).
- Experience with privacy impact assessments and data mapping.
- Familiarity with data security technologies such as encryption and anonymization.
