Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PDPL).

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data processing activities to identify and mitigate privacy risks.

  • Advise staff and stakeholders on data protection requirements and best practices.

  • Monitor and respond to personal data breaches, including incident reporting and remediation.

  • Maintain records of data processing activities and ensure appropriate legal documentation.

  • Provide training and awareness programs on personal data protection for employees.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and privacy regulations.

  • Experience in compliance, risk management, or information security.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in privacy or data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).

  • Experience with data mapping and privacy impact assessments.

  • Familiarity with encryption, anonymization, and other data security techniques.
